My Etsy Re-Opening and Sales!

Many of you know that over the years I've had a variety of venues for peddling my wares :)

I have several Etsy shops, used to sell on Ebay, not to mention the craft shows and even a few brick and mortar shops have carried some of my items.  Life and a full time day job has made this somewhat a challenge, but I'm happiest when I'm creating, or at least thinking about creating, and have decided to open up my Etsy(s) and have some summer sales!  I'm currently offering free shipping on these items!  I'm still such a "Pied Piper", and have attracted some additional new interests, which will soon be added to the mix, so stay tuned, and thank you for your continued patronage, patience and endless inspiration!

Please check the right side bar for links to Whimsy Hollow, Enchanted Threads, and Healing Angels Etsy Shops and some terrific sales!

Happy Summer!

Hi there!  We're enjoying a cozy Valentine's Day here... got about 14" of snow and have been home more, working, crafting, adding logs to the fire LOL.  Today is sunny and gorgeous.  As I write I'm sipping my new obsession... matcha green tea and listening to my fur baby snore.  A lovely slow start to the weekend.  It's the little things that keep my heart happy!  Beautiful roses from DH also helped :)

Speaking of little things... sharing a mini album I created for a swap on My Scraproom Ning.  We had to use any Graphic 45 paper, and the album had to be an "itty bitty mini"  I chose to use the rest of my Steampunk Debutante papers, and had a blast embellishing this little cutie.  Sometimes it's fun to work on small creations and allows you to use your scraps in different ways.

I also had fun using some of my thrift store finds, like the little frame here on the cover.  Two of the tiny charms on the dangle were made from recycled garment pins.  I love using metal embellies and love the vintage feel of the colors in this paper line.

Great quote from Albert Einstein used on the back cover.  Thanks for your visit to my blog.  If you'd like to see more of this album, please check my YouTube Channel (link in my sidebar).

Dreamy Moon Mixed Media Canvas

Greetings Wanderers!  Long time without a post here, but I hope to remedy this  in 2014!  I plan to share many more of my works in progress, and random creative whims this year.  Here's a glimpse of a small canvas I created... call it my dreamy moon canvas.  Inspiration started with a small glob of paper clay... hence the dreamy moon!  Love this stuff... so many possibilities.  Thanks for your visit if you're here tonight.  Happy new year all!  Here's to our dreams manifesting into realities!

Thanks for your visit to my blog!

Back to College Card Share

Hello lovelies!  Wanted to share a card I made recently.  It's got a "back to college" theme since my girl is back at college.  The Paper Shelter is having a Design Team Challenge.  I purchased this adorable image from their website.  Isn't she a cutie?  I imagine she's sipping on hot cocoa with her little cupcake :)

I used all sorts of different supplies for the coloring, experimenting a bit, and having fun with her!

American Crafts Stamp Markers:  powder, blush.
Tim Holtz Distress Markers:  spun sugar, broken china, antique linen.
Copic Sketch: R20, R00, E00, W3, YG11
Promarkers:  G619, 0727
Spectrum Noir:  PP5

All papers used are from the Prima Songbird Collection 6x6 paper pad.  I love this collection, it's so sweet and the 6x6 size is great for cards.  The colors are light and cheerful.

The card itself is kraft cardstock.  Really sturdy stuff and nice texture.

I added a few embellies from my stash... the Parisian flower with pearl, letters reading "College Girl" a cute cardboard button and flag, a bit of lace paper trim and viola!  She's ready for the mail :)  Hope my girl likes it, and remembers to write or at least text me back when she's taking some time off from studying!

Have a great week everyone!

Card Share and Lovely Orchids to Brighten My Day

Greetings Woodland Wanderers! It's been quiet, but the forest is full of life! I won't apologize, but you know it's been awhile when you attempt a post and have to figure out how to do it! I've been busy working, creating, breathing and looking forward to Spring!

I've even been doing a bit of garden clean up, weather permitting! My art studio area is finally finished (the "Nook" as I like to call it) and I've been stealing away to my special spot as much as I can, to work on various projects, or sit on my favorite chair with a mug tea and some books. Not to say that I don't still like the comfy couch in front of the tv, but that is shared these days with a snoring pixie-pug-gnome-like creature I recently adopted and adore!

I wanted to share a card I recently created using an adorable digi image from Krista at Saturated Canary.  I have a button to her website on the left sidebar.  This is the first time I only used colored pencil on the image. I kind of like the softness. Think I'll try more using pencils more often.  I do love the hair on this girl!

I've since decided to enter this card in the following challenges:

Challenge #64 - Anything Goes DS4J

Papertake Weekly Anything Goes

Challenge 208 - Let's Get Krafty!

Materials Used:

"Yo Yo" Digi Image from Saturated Canary
Corrugated Kraft Card Base
"She Art" Papers from Christy Tomlinson
Derwent Colored Pencils Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Vintage Photo
Martha Stewart Rose Stamp
Inkainkadoo Flower Stamp and "Be Unique" Sentiment Stamp
Crochet Lace, Feather and Burlap from my Craft Stash

Hope all is well in your part of the woodland! Sharing some lovely orchids gifted to me recently by my fabulous other half!   Nothing brightens the day more than flowers on your work desk, and a visit from your sweet daughter.

Thanks for your visit, blessings on your day!

Some Odd Girl Card Challenge

Hello and Happy Summer! I've been tinkering around again, playing with some of my newest crafty goodies, and decided to enter this card in the latest "Some Odd Girl" Color Challenge. I already had some scrap paper in the color theme, so was happy to be able to use them. I also used coffee filter paper for the leaves, and the paper flower is handmade. I regret that when scanning the image, it got a bit crooked, and my flower got sort of smooshed. The pearl accent is actually centered, but you can't tell with this image. Anyhoo... thanks to SOG for this fun Summer challenge! Here is the color scheme you were to use: Supplies Used: ..SOG "Grow" stamp (Love this girl!) colored with copics and promarkers. Girl's skirt was paperpieced and embellished with acrylic paint. ..A combination of K&Company, and DCWV papers, and some unknown paper from my stash. Die Cuts from paper stash and coffee filter leaves. ..Tim Holtz Distress Ink ..Stampendous "Thinking of You" stamp. Thanks for looking, hope everyone's Summer is off to a great start!
